Agricultural Producer Price Index (Agri-PPI) Decreased by 0.93% Month-on-Month in August

According to TurkStat data, the Agri-PPI fell by 0.93% in August compared to the previous month, while the annual increase stood at 21.91%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) released the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agri-PPI) data for August 2026. According to TurkStat data, the Agri-PPI recorded a decrease of 0.93% in August compared to the previous month. The index showed an increase of 9.20% compared to December of the previous year, 21.91% compared to the same month of the previous year, and 33.47% based on twelve-month averages.
On a monthly basis, there was a decrease of 0.86% in agriculture and hunting products, 1.74% in forestry products, and 1.77% in fishing products. When main groups were examined, annual plant products decreased by 6.23%, while perennial plant products increased by 3.22%, and live animals and animal products increased by 2.00%. On an annual basis, the highest increase was 69.99% in vegetables, melons-watermelons, roots, and tubers; the highest monthly increase was 153.75% in tropical and subtropical fruits.
