· TMO

The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has launched its 2026 crop seedless raisin purchase program, setting a floor price of 100 Turkish Lira for Grade 10 quality product.
The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has announced its 2026 crop purchase program, aiming to ensure stability in the seedless raisin market, where Turkey is a global leader in production and export. According to the statement released by TMO, the objective is to prevent price drops during the harvest season and protect producers. The institution has completed its technical infrastructure, storage, personnel, and financing preparations and officially declared that purchases will commence on September 15.
According to the data shared by TMO, the purchase price for Grade 10 seedless raisins has been set at 100 TL for this season. A decrease was observed in the institution's tariff compared to last year, when the purchase price for the same quality product was announced at 130 TL. As per TMO's statement, product payments will be deposited directly into producers' bank accounts starting from the 21st day following the completion of delivery.
Raisin purchases will be carried out via an appointment system at a total of 11 locations situated within the borders of Manisa and Denizli. Producers can obtain their appointments from TMO's website, the e-Devlet portal, or branch directorates. To ensure smooth purchases, farmers are required to update their Crop Registration System (ÇKS) records, make deliveries on their appointment day, open accounts with contracted banks, and make deliveries in person or through a representative.

Reacting to the announced purchase prices, New Party Manisa Deputy Bekir Başevirgen stated that prices have fallen by 23% compared to last year. Expressing that farmers are crushed under cost pressure, New Party Manisa Deputy Bekir Başevirgen made the following assessment:
Başevirgen also claimed that farmers had an expectation of 140-150 lira, and that TMO would effectively pay 90 lira for Grade 9 product.
Highlighting the rise in production costs, Bekir Başevirgen emphasized that there has been a 50-60% increase in essential inputs such as diesel, fertilizer, and labor. Başevirgen argued that lowering the product price despite rising costs would force producers to uproot their vines and withdraw from production.
