Denizli Metropolitan Municipality to Purchase Melons and Watermelons from Acıpayam Producers

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will directly purchase produce from producers in Acıpayam facing market difficulties, distribute it to those in need, and provide fuel card support.
Direct Purchase Guarantee for Producers
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu met with farmers engaged in agricultural production in the Acıpayam district, listening to their market problems firsthand. Within the scope of the visit, attention was drawn to the economic bottleneck experienced by producers, particularly in the melon and watermelon market in Akalan Neighborhood. Announcing that direct product purchases would be made within the municipality to prevent farmers' crops from rotting in the field, Çavuşoğlu emphasized that the procured melons and watermelons would be delivered to needy households through the social assistance network, thus offering market security to producers and strengthening social solidarity.
Fuel Assistance and Infrastructure Support
During the program, accompanied by Acıpayam Mayor Levent Yıldırım, fuel cards were distributed to producers. Stating that they aim to reduce the input costs for farmers, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu said:
"While we are lightening the burden of our producers with our fuel card support, we are also rapidly addressing the infrastructure deficiencies in our neighborhoods, such as roads, asphalt, and sidewalks."
Within the framework of the visits, neighborhood heads in Alaattin, Oğuz, Dedebağ, Darıveren, and Köke neighborhoods were met with, and the connecting roads that will facilitate agricultural logistics, along with infrastructure renewal works throughout the district, were inspected on-site.
