512,000 Carp Fry Released into Dams and Ponds in Bilecik

As part of a fish stocking project aimed at increasing the aquatic population in water resources across Bilecik, 512,000 carp fry have been released into dams and ponds.

Within the scope of a project carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Bilecik, a total of 512,000 carp fry were released into the dams and ponds across the province. The fish stocking effort, conducted in the Kurtköy region, aims to strengthen the freshwater ecosystem and fish population.

Bilecik Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Çetin Ayvalık, who participated in the event and emphasized the importance of protecting and efficiently using water resources, stated:

"We attach importance to the work we carry out to protect our water resources and support the fish population. With this project, we have introduced 512,000 carp fry to our ponds and dams in Bilecik. Our efforts to protect our water resources for future generations will continue."
