Seasonal Agricultural Worker Children Receive Educational Support in Sakarya
· GıdaTarım

Within the scope of the Four Seasons Education Project, a collaboration between the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation and Ferrero Sustainable Agriculture, children of seasonal agricultural workers arriving in Sakarya for hazelnut harvest are receiving education through mobile learning units.
The Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV), in partnership with Ferrero Sustainable Agriculture, is bringing the Four Seasons Education Project, ongoing since 2021, to life in Sakarya again this year. Two 'Firefly Learning Units' have been deployed in the Karapürçek district to prevent children of seasonal agricultural workers, who come to the region with their families during the hazelnut harvest period, from dropping out of education.
Within the project's scope, children are engaged in practical training focused on science, art, and essential life skills. The organized activities aim to support the academic, social, and emotional development of children throughout the hazelnut harvest season.
