6.7 Million Lira Silage Support for Producers in Ilgın

In Konya's Ilgın district, silage baling machines and equipment procured under a project with a budget of 6.76 million lira, supported by KOP Administration, were delivered to producers.

Common Machinery Support in Ilgın

Equipment delivery was made within the scope of the Ilgın Silage Baling Project, carried out in partnership with the Ilgın District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate and Ağalar Agricultural Development Cooperative, under the coordination of the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. With the project, supported by the KOP Regional Development Administration and having a budget of 6.76 million TL, 1 Round Silage Baling Machine, Stretch Film Rolls, and Baling Nets were provided to producers. The delivery ceremony held in Ağalar was attended by Ilgın District Governor Mustafa Maslak, Provincial Director Duran Seçen, and KOP President Dr. Murat Karakoyunlu.

Goal to Prevent Feed Losses

It was reported that the modern machines provided by the project have been allocated for the common use of producers in three villages: Ağalar, Olukpınar, and Sadıkköy. The initiative aims to minimize post-harvest silage and roughage losses. The project, which aims to increase access to quality roughage in animal husbandry, will particularly facilitate access for small and medium-sized enterprises to modern agricultural technologies with high costs through shared usage, and will directly contribute to milk and meat productivity in the region.
