In the Biga district of Çanakkale, beef breed pregnant heifers delivered to producers within the scope of the 'Rural Fertility, Livestock Support Project' were inspected by technical teams.
Field Inspection in Pregnant Heifer Support
Within the scope of the Rural Fertility, Livestock Support Project, carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, field inspections continue uninterrupted in the Biga district of Çanakkale. In line with the first stage, twelfth group implementations of the project, periodic monthly follow-up and identification visits were carried out for producers who received beef breed pregnant heifers. Biga District Agriculture and Forestry Manager Fevzi Atmaca and technical personnel inspected the current condition of the animals by examining the farm of producer Yunus Çiftçi in Örtülüce Village.
Animal Health Monitoring Continues in Villages
Technical teams, continuing their work throughout the district, completed routine checks on the farms of other breeders who received pregnant heifers in the villages of Otlukdere, Göktepe, and Danişment. During the field inspections, the health status, farm conditions, and development processes of the animals were recorded by veterinarians. The District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate aims for this follow-up process, which aims to strengthen rural development and production, to bring fertility to livestock activities in the region.
