Biosecurity Measures in Poultry Sector Discussed in Uşak

Uşak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry organized a comprehensive technical training meeting to prevent infectious disease risks in poultry farms and enhance biosecurity standards.

Biosecurity in Poultry Farms on the Agenda

A comprehensive evaluation meeting for the poultry farming sector was held, hosted by the Uşak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. In the city, where new poultry investments have recently come to the fore, the goal is to ensure complete biosecurity in commercial broiler and layer poultry farms. Biosecurity in poultry farming encompasses a set of preventive measures aimed at preventing the introduction of infectious disease agents into the farm and their rapid spread within the facility. Protective measures are of great importance to prevent potential diseases that may arise in commercial production facilities from harming the production chain and its continuity.

Disease Prevention Training for Technical Personnel

Experts from the General Directorate of Livestock, Department of Animal Health and Epidemiology of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, made detailed presentations at the meeting. The information meeting was attended by Uşak Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Serkan Bilir, Head of Animal Health, Breeding, and Fisheries Branch Armağan Çam, and the institution's technical personnel. Hygiene and inspection rules that must be meticulously applied in farms were conveyed to the field teams by Ministry experts. With the technical evaluations carried out, it is aimed to raise biosecurity standards to the highest level in poultry production facilities in the region.
