Strawberry Production in Uşak Reaches 666 Tons

A total of 666 tons of strawberries were harvested from 346 decares across Uşak, with agricultural officials continuing on-site inspections to enhance quality and productivity.
Strawberry Field Inspection in Uşak
Uşak Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Serkan Bilir conducted inspections at a 7-decare strawberry field belonging to producer Yaşar Yeter in Çamyuva village. Speaking during the visit, where cultivation stages and producer demands were discussed, Bilir stated that the 666 tons of strawberries grown on 346 decares across the province provide a significant input to the local economy. Officials aim to increase productivity by monitoring harvest processes on-site.
Product Diversity and Support
Stating that they are focused on increasing agricultural production, Uşak Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Serkan Bilir made the following statement:
"We are working diligently to increase product diversity in Uşak, and strawberries are among the products that have been cultivated in our province for many years. We will continue to support and increase production in our province; our efforts to improve quality in cultivation will continue by identifying the difficulties faced by our producers on-site."
In this context, field studies for producers are being carried out continuously.
Nationwide Strawberry Data
According to TÜİK data, nationwide strawberry production in Turkey, carried out in 73 provinces in 2025, decreased by 2% compared to the previous year, falling to 595,000 tons. Data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry shows that seedling production increased from 500,000 units in 2002 to over 30 million in 2006, over 132 million in 2017, and over 140 million in 2021. Seedling production, which has seen fluctuating trends, reached 102,387,000 units in 2025.
