Pinar Institute Launches 7th Scientific Article Award Applications

Pinar Institute has launched applications for its 7th Scientific Article Award, aiming to support a sustainable value chain in the milk ecosystem. Researchers who rank in the competition will be awarded a total of 62,000 TL.

Support for Scientific Research in the Milk Ecosystem

Pinar Institute has launched applications for its Scientific Article Award, organized for the 7th time this year, to support agricultural production and academic studies. The competition, held under the theme 'Sustainable Value Chain in the Milk Ecosystem,' addresses milk not just as a final product but as a holistic process extending from forage crops to the consumer. Qualified research examining feed and nutrition practices, livestock and animal welfare, food safety, and consumer health will be evaluated within the scope of the program. The organization aims to transform academic knowledge in agriculture and livestock into direct sectoral benefits.

Application Criteria and Award Details

Articles published in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web of Science database between 2022 and 2025 will be accepted for the competition. According to the timeline announced by Pinar Institute, the application deadline has been set as October 16, 2026. The evaluation process will be based on criteria such as contribution to science, societal benefit, and applicability, and a total of 62,000 TL will be awarded to successful academics. The first prize will be 25,000 TL, the second prize 20,000 TL, and the third prize 17,000 TL.

Vision for Sustainable Food and Livestock

Highlighting the importance of scientific studies for food security, Pinar Institute Chairperson İdil Yiğitbaşı stated:

Establishing a sustainable value chain in the milk ecosystem requires addressing all stages from producer to consumer, along with their environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Through the Scientific Article Award, we aim to bring qualified studies from different disciplines into the spotlight, support researchers, and lay the groundwork for new research. The growing global population, climate change, pressure on natural resources, and developments in food security increasingly necessitate a holistic approach to food systems. We are delighted to be holding this competition for the seventh time, having organized the first one in 2018, and we invite our researchers to share their work with us.
