800,000 Turkish Lira Support for Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture

The second phase of applications for the 'Whole Grain Whole Support' project, a collaboration between Nestlé Breakfast Cereals and Migros, has begun, with a total of 800,000 TL in grants to be awarded to 3 successful projects.

Agricultural Support for Women Entrepreneurs

The Whole Grain Whole Support Project, launched in collaboration with Nestlé Breakfast Cereals and Migros, continues to support women entrepreneurs aiming to develop agricultural production and the food sector in its second year. The application process for the second phase of the program, which reached up to 1,000 women entrepreneurs in its first year, has officially begun. The aim is to enable women operating in or generating innovative ideas in the agriculture and food sectors to bring their projects to life. By introducing successful business models to the sector, direct contributions will be made to agricultural development.

Scope of Training and Grants

Within the scope of the program, women entrepreneurs receive training in a wide range of areas including branding, digital marketing, design thinking, good agricultural practices, quality processes from production to shelf, and presentation techniques. A total grant of 800,000 TL will be provided to the 3 most successful entrepreneurial projects selected in the idea marathon to be held at the end of the process. In the first phase of the project, successful entrepreneurs had the opportunity to strengthen their business models and build professional business networks through a 3-month mentorship program, in addition to the grant.

The Role of Women in Agricultural Transformation

Nestlé Breakfast Cereals General Manager Esra Ateş, touching upon the importance of women in the agricultural sector and the project's goals, made the following statement:

"In the first year of 'Whole Grain Whole Support,' we closely witnessed the strong ideas and high potential of women entrepreneurs who want to create value in the agriculture and food sectors. The innovative projects that emerged during the training, mentorship process, and idea marathon gave us hope for the future of agriculture. This experience and the interest we observed in the first year revealed how accurately we touched upon a need with this project. This year too, we will be happy to accompany new entrepreneurs on their journey with training, mentorship support, and collaborations that will contribute to the development of their ideas. Because we believe that women are the leading actors in the transformation of agriculture and food."

Sustainable Agriculture and Collaborations

Migros FMCG Food Marketing Director Caner Yaman, drawing attention to the project's sustainable agriculture and local production goals, made the following assessment:

"As Migros, we always prioritize participating in projects that support local production, sustainable agriculture, and women's labor. We are pleased to support women entrepreneurs in developing their innovative ideas in the agriculture and food sectors in the second year of the Whole Grain Whole Support project. We believe that the opportunity for professional business network access, in addition to the development opportunities offered by the project, will add value to the entrepreneurs' journeys. We consider this project, which strengthens the future of agriculture and women entrepreneurs, to be an important step towards a sustainable future."
