According to the 17th phase results of the Rural Development Investment Program by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 27 investment projects in 10 districts of Ankara have qualified for grants.
The results of the 17th phase of the Rural Development Investment Program for 2026, meticulously carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, have been officially finalized for the capital. According to the principal application list shared by the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, a total of 27 investment projects from 10 different districts have qualified for grant support. These announced results indicate that the agricultural production power and modernization efforts in the capital's countryside will gain significant momentum in the new period.
According to a detailed review of the official project application codes, 14 of the 27 investments included in the grant scope are new facilities to be established from scratch. The remaining part of the list includes 3 projects to complete unfinished investments, 5 capacity increase projects, and 5 technology renewal and modernization projects. Thus, it has been confirmed that approximately 52% of the supported investments consist directly of new production facilities. New facilities are tracked with the code '01' in the Ministry's coding system, while modernization investments are tracked with the code '04'.
When analyzing the distribution among districts, it is observed that the Çubuk district alone accounts for one-third of the investments in Ankara with 9 different projects. Beypazarı ranks second with 6 projects, and these two districts host approximately 56% of the investments with a total of 15 projects. Haymana with 3 projects, Akyurt and Kızılcahamam with two projects each; Güdül, Kalecik, Polatlı, Sincan, and Şereflikoçhisar managed to be included in the principal support list with one project each.

An examination of the sector codes for the supported works reveals that livestock activities are predominantly at the center of rural development investments. Of the total 27 projects, 16 were allocated to cattle breeding with the code TÜY-B, and 4 were allocated to sheep and goat breeding with the code TÜY-C. Thus, livestock projects constitute approximately 74% of the entire list. While all 9 projects in Çubuk are concentrated in the cattle sector, small ruminant projects are distributed among the districts of Haymana, Kızılcahamam, and Şereflikoçhisar.
All 5 beekeeping projects that qualified for grants across Ankara have been concentrated in the Beypazarı district, forming a strong production cluster. These projects, evaluated under the Ministry's AÜİP code, cover the processing and packaging of beekeeping and bee products. Additionally, another investment in the Beypazarı list, with the code TÜİ-Ç, foresees the establishment of an independent cold storage facility. Thus, the district is emerging as one of the most critical centers in the capital for modern storage and value-added bee product manufacturing.
The most technologically notable application of the program came from Polatlı and qualified for grant support with the code BSY-B. This category, which refers to agricultural informatics and artificial intelligence-based decision support systems within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regulations, supports digitalization in agriculture. This initiative in Polatlı proves that smart farming and product monitoring technologies supported by artificial intelligence, alongside traditional livestock investments, have also found a place in the rural support program.
Within the scope of the program, the grant-based project amount is applied with an upper limit of 100,000 TL to 30 million TL for general investments and 8 million TL for family businesses. Grants will be disbursed at rates varying between 50% and 70% depending on the nature of the projects. Qualified investors are required to apply to the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry between September 30 and October 27, 2026, and provide collateral equivalent to 3% of the grant-based amount.
