The General Directorate of Meteorology Regional Forecasting and Warning Center has issued a yellow code warning for Samsun city center and its eastern districts due to expected localized heavy thunderstorms, cautioning against floods, inundation, and transportation disruptions.
Officials stated that citizens and producers in the region should be cautious against adverse weather conditions and made the following statement on behalf of the General Directorate of Meteorology Regional Forecasting and Warning Center:
"According to the latest assessments, due to expected localized heavy rainfall starting from the early hours of tomorrow (Tuesday) in Samsun city center and its eastern districts, caution and preparedness are necessary against adverse events such as floods, inundation, lightning, and transportation disruptions."
