The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry updated its list, identifying vegetable oil, starch, and ingredient tampering in four different products within the yogurt and butter categories.
Adulteration List for Dairy Products Updated
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced on August 20, 2026, through a public notice, that imitation and adulteration had been detected in four different dairy products. As a result of laboratory inspections conducted by the Ministry, starch and vegetable oil in violation of regulations were identified in İnkaya brand 500-gram yogurt produced in Gürsu, Bursa, and in Koç Gültekin full-fat yogurt originating from Altıeylül, Balıkesir. Furthermore, it was recorded that the basic properties of Anamas brand 10-gram butter produced in Kepez, Antalya, and Kurtbey Çiftliği unsalted butter produced in Merkez, Elazığ, had been altered.

Ministry officials stated that such fraudulent practices pose a risk to public health and lead to unfair competition against honest producers. The statement emphasized that inspection results are shared transparently with the public to promote reliable food production and protect consumer rights. Consumers can track adulterated products in real-time by directly reviewing the current inspection records of businesses through the Reliable Food mobile application and the official internet platform, which were made available in 2026.
