115 Million Lira Grant Support for Çanakkale Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will provide a total of 115.7 million TL in grant support for 34 projects within the scope of rural development investments in Çanakkale.

186 Million Move in Rural Development

Projects eligible for support within the scope of the 2026 Çanakkale Rural Development Investment Program, carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, have been finalized. According to the statement made by the Çanakkale Governorship, 34 projects across the province have been included in the support program following meticulous evaluation processes. It was also reported that 12 projects are on the reserve list. Within the framework of the program, the total investment cost of the approved projects has been determined as 186 million 945 thousand TL, with 115 million 722 thousand TL of these investments to be covered by direct state grants.

Priority for Women and Young Producers

Positive discrimination towards women and young farmers was among the prominent elements in the announced grant results. It was stated that 13 of the approved projects directly belong to women and young producers. In the program, which aims to encourage the new generation of producers in rural areas, non-repayable grant support of up to 70% will be provided for the projects. This initiative aims to enable the younger population to take a more active role in agricultural production and to sustainably strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity in rural areas.

Family Businesses and Cooperatives Strengthened

70% of the total support budget allocated within the program was set aside for family businesses. Furthermore, the aim is to increase the institutional capacity of local organizations by supporting 9 projects belonging to agricultural development cooperatives. The Çanakkale Governorship announced that these financial supports will increase the investment power of producers, revitalize the rural economy, and directly contribute to making the agricultural production chain in the region more resilient.
