6-Kilometer Road Completed for Grape Harvest in Sarıgöl

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality has completed a 6-kilometer surface coating project covering three neighborhoods to facilitate transportation during the grape harvest season in Sarıgöl.
Harvest Road Work in Sarıgöl Vineyards
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality continues to strengthen transportation infrastructure in areas with intensive agricultural production in the Sarıgöl district. With the start of the grape harvest in the district, a surface coating work was initiated on approximately 6 kilometers of route connecting the Yeşiltepe, Bahadırlar, and Tekeliler neighborhoods. Thanks to this infrastructure activity, it is aimed that farmers who have difficulty reaching their vineyards, especially during the harvest season, can reach their fields and neighborhoods in a much safer and more comfortable manner.
Targeting Producers' Logistical Security
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality aims to manage the increasing tractor and transportation traffic during the grape harvest period effectively, planning to facilitate the transportation of products from field to market. Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu emphasized that Sarıgöl's most fundamental source of livelihood is grapes and stated the importance of open transportation routes for producers during the harvest period. Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu said in his statement:
"We will continue to work for Manisa's farmers and remove the obstacles in agricultural production."
Joint Agricultural Support from Local Governments
Sarıgöl Mayor Tahsin Akdeniz stated that producers' access to their vineyards and fields has been facilitated with the arrival of the harvest season and thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for the work. Yeşiltepe Neighborhood Headman Mustafa Keşkekoğlu stated that the road connecting the three neighborhoods was quite bad before and that they had requested its renovation before the harvest. Keşkekoğlu reported that with the completion of the surface coating work, the farmers in the region were saved from great hardship.
