The Era of Domestic Electronic Tracking in Livestock
Field trainings have officially begun for the Secure Electronic Ear Tag and Monitoring System, implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Presidency of Defense Industry. Developed entirely with domestic and national resources by ASELSAN, this system aims for the digital identification of cattle and their uninterrupted monitoring throughout their life cycles. Within the scope of the project, which will make record-keeping, tracking, and data management more effective in the livestock sector, technical personnel are being trained on electronic ear tagging and digital monitoring processes through practical application.
Kars Selected as Pilot Center
Kars, one of the most critical livestock centers in the country, has been chosen for the training of the first technical personnel who will be responsible for field applications nationwide. With the expert personnel completing their training and taking an active role in the field, livestock populations, health records, and animal movements will be monitored much more reliably. Following the training in Kars, which has become a strategic application center for digital transformation efforts, the goal is to rapidly expand the domestic system across Turkey and to guide sectoral policies.
