Mediterranean Fruit Fly Traps Distributed to Peach Producers in Erdemli

As part of efforts to combat the Mediterranean Fruit Fly, 1,200 traps and agricultural pest control equipment were delivered to peach producers in Erdemli district of Mersin.
According to data from the Mersin Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, support was provided to peach producers in the Erdemli district within the scope of combating the Mediterranean Fruit Fly (Medfly). Producers registered in the Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) were met at a distribution program held in Şahna Neighborhood.
Within the scope of the program, a total of 1,200 Medfly traps and 38 packages of Malathion were delivered to 38 peach producers operating in the Şahna, Üzümlü, and Sinap neighborhoods. The Provincial Directorate announced that field and control efforts against pests in peach orchards will continue.
