The general fishing ban implemented in the seas will end as of September 1. Fishermen, who are preparing for the opening of the new fishing season, are counting down the days to set sail after completing the final preparations on their boats and nets.
Sharing their expectations for the new season, Mehmet Aksoy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Union of Fisheries Hunters and Producers, noted that an abundance of bonito is expected in the Black Sea and sardines in the Aegean Sea during this period.
