US Recalls Uninspected Imported Beef

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall of approximately 30,000 pounds of raw beef imported from Argentina that was distributed without undergoing required inspection.
Inspection Violation in Imported Beef
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture announced that Corte Argentino USA LLC, a Florida-based company, is recalling raw beef products imported from Argentina. According to FSIS data, a total of 29,628 pounds of product entered the market without undergoing the required import re-inspection. This oversight was identified during routine inspection activities conducted by FSIS officials.
Details of the Recalled Products
The raw meat products subject to the recall were produced between May 15, 2026, and May 20, 2026, with use-by or freeze-by dates between September 15, 2026, and September 20, 2026. The affected shipments bear the Argentinian establishment number 'EST. N° OF. 2025' and the mark of inspection '26644-AA'. The recalled items, including boneless cuts such as sirloin, striploin, and chuck, labeled under Frigorífico Gorina SAIC, were shipped to distributors and retailers in Florida and Texas.
Food Safety Warnings and Precautions
It has been stated that no confirmed illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported to date resulting from the consumption of these products. However, FSIS expressed concern that some of the products may still be in consumers' refrigerators or freezers. The agency advised that consumers and businesses who have purchased these batches should not consume the meat. It is recommended that the non-compliant products be disposed of directly or returned to the point of purchase.
