Hazelnut Exports Close Season at $2.5 Billion

Turkey largely maintained its $2.5 billion hazelnut export revenue for the 2025-2026 season, despite a 36% drop in export volume.
Turkey concluded the 2025-2026 hazelnut export season with revenues of approximately $2.5 billion. According to data from the Black Sea Hazelnut and Products Exporters' Association, 197,085 tons of hazelnuts were exported between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026, generating foreign currency inflow of $2,509,526,039.
Compared to the 309,064 tons exported and the $2,558,540,904 revenue generated in the previous season, the export volume decreased by 111,979 tons, a 36% decline. Thanks to high unit prices, the loss in total export revenue was limited to 2%, amounting to $49 million.
