A coordination meeting in Erzincan discussed the fall vaccination campaign against foot-and-mouth disease for cattle and sheep, alongside the latest status of the Turnaçayırı Dam.
A September coordination meeting was held in Erzincan with the participation of organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The meeting, hosted by DSİ Branch Directorate No. 82, was chaired by Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Alper Koçaker. The primary agenda item was the fall foot-and-mouth disease vaccination campaign for cattle and sheep. It was announced that field efforts, conducted to protect the region's livestock population and prevent potential outbreaks, will continue in a coordinated manner.
In addition to animal health measures, preparations for the 2026 production season and agricultural developments were discussed. The latest stage of the Turnaçayırı Dam construction, which plays a critical role in regional irrigation, was evaluated by the relevant units. Projects aimed at strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production were put on the agenda. The meeting, which aims to support producers across the province and increase productivity, concluded with the presentation of planned targets.
