A TÜRKŞEKER delegation inspected beet development and polar sugar levels in Haymana, the second-largest production center for the Ankara Sugar Factory.
Field Inspection at Haymana Beet Fields
TÜRKŞEKER Chairman of the Board and General Manager Dr. Muhiddin Şahin, along with his accompanying delegation, inspected beet fields in the Kadıköy neighborhood of Haymana district, the second-largest production center for the Ankara Sugar Factory. In a statement released by the institution, it was stated that the beet's tillering, plant density, and vegetative development were in good condition in the field where they met with producers. The inspections also noted an increase in polar sugar levels in the sugar beets in the field.
Digital Tracking and Harvest Expectation
During the visit, data on water stress, nitrogen deficiency, disease, and yield forecasts were checked via the satellite-assisted Beet Tracking System implemented within TÜRKŞEKER. The institution reported that, in line with technological monitoring and field data, a harvest level sufficient to meet Turkey's sugar demand is projected for 2026. Following the field checks, the delegation met with personnel from the Haymana Agricultural Regional Directorate to receive technical information about the ongoing work.
