· GıdaTarım

The General Directorate of Meteorology warned producers in six provinces along the Aegean, Mediterranean, and Marmara coasts against the risk of heavy downpours, floods, and storms.
Severe Rainfall Warning Issued for Six Provinces
According to the latest weather forecast report published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, a partly cloudy and very cloudy weather pattern continues across Turkey. Official assessments indicate heavy downpours are anticipated in and around Izmir, Aydin, and Mugla, as well as in the eastern districts of Antalya. Rainfall is expected to intensify from the evening hours in Canakkale and Edirne. Officials have urged producers and residents in the affected areas to take all necessary field precautions against sudden floods, localized inundation, lightning strikes, local hail, and potential tornadoes.
Local Storm Risk on Aegean Coasts
While a partly cloudy and very cloudy weather prevails across the Aegean Region, intermittent showers and thunderstorms are expected. According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, temperatures are recorded at 21 degrees Celsius in Izmir, 20 degrees in Denizli, and 17 degrees in Mugla, all coastal cities. Due to the expected heavy rainfall, especially in coastal districts, it is crucial to keep stream beds and drainage channels in cultivated areas clear. In the vicinity of Afyonkarahisar, rainfall transitions are predicted after noon with temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius.
Flooding and Inundation in the Mediterranean Belt
Thunderstorms are forecast to continue intermittently in the Western Mediterranean and the Taurus Mountains region of the Eastern Mediterranean. Meteorological data shows a risk of heavy rainfall, particularly in the eastern districts of Antalya, where temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius. In Adana, temperatures are expected to rise to 25 degrees Celsius, with rainfall beginning in the northern parts in the afternoon. Burdur is at 19 degrees Celsius, while Hatay remains partly cloudy at 22 degrees Celsius. Caution is advised for agricultural greenhouses against wind damage during periods of severe rainfall.

Evening Alert Issued for the Marmara Region
Intermittent showers are observed across the Marmara Region, with rainfall expected to intensify locally in and around Canakkale and Edirne from the evening hours. According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, regional temperatures were recorded at 20 degrees Celsius in Bursa, 19 degrees in Canakkale, 20 degrees in Istanbul, and 16 degrees in Kırklareli. Increased wind speeds are anticipated during the heavy rainfall expected in the evening. Timely field checks are recommended for agricultural lands to mitigate risks of landslides and sudden floods.
Temperatures Above Seasonal Norms
Temperatures across the country are expected to be 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above seasonal norms in the northern and eastern parts. The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts temperatures to remain generally around seasonal norms in other regions. In the Central Anatolia Region, temperatures are measured at 18 degrees Celsius in Ankara and Konya, and 19 degrees in Eskisehir. Winds are expected to blow mostly from the south, and from the north in the northwestern parts of the country, at light to moderate speeds. Mild weather continues along the Black Sea coast.
Fog in Eastern and Inland Regions
Dense fog and mist are occurring in some areas of the inland and eastern regions during the morning and night hours. Meteorological data shows temperatures in Eastern Anatolia around 13 degrees Celsius in Erzurum, 14 degrees in Kars, and 15 degrees in Malatya and Van. In the Southeastern Anatolia Region, Diyarbakir and Mardin are around 20 degrees Celsius, and Urfa reaches 22 degrees Celsius. While rain is expected in the vicinity of Sirnak during the night, fog may negatively impact transportation in rural areas. It is important for producers to monitor sudden changes in weather conditions during outdoor activities. General Directorate of MeteorologyCurrent Air Temperatures in Selected Provinces
