Fuzzy Chickpea Harvest Begins in Ağın with Subsidized Seeds

Harvesting of fuzzy chickpeas, cultivated with seeds distributed under a 75% subsidy from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has commenced.
Within the scope of the "Effective Utilization of Agricultural Lands" (TAKE) Project, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 18 tons and 250 kilograms of fuzzy chickpea seeds were distributed to producers in the Ağın district of Elazığ with a 75% subsidy. The seeds, brought to the soil with the Ministry's support, have matured and reached the harvest stage after the completion of the production season.
While harvesting efforts for the region's traditional fuzzy chickpea continue in the fields, technical teams from the Ağın District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry are conducting on-site checks and providing guidance to farmers. Local producers who benefited from the subsidized seed support are finding encouragement in their harvest following a productive season.
