Firefighting Fleet Announced
The Presidency's Directorate of Communications' Disinformation Desk has refuted claims of insufficient vehicles and equipment in the fight against forest fires. Emphasizing that Turkey possesses the strongest air and ground fleet in its Republican history, DMM data indicates a total of 161 aerial vehicles in the inventory as of 2026, including 28 planes, 119 helicopters, and 14 UAVs. The statement also reported that 5,600 ground vehicles and 28,000 personnel are on standby in the field to protect the Green Homeland.
Intensive Response to Regional Fires
Sharing data on fires in the Mediterranean region, DMM announced that 8 planes, 26 helicopters, 344 fire trucks, 15 heavy machinery units, and 1,878 personnel were deployed to combat the flames in Antalya, Adana, and Mersin. While fires in Antalya's Kumluca and Mersin's Bozyazı have been largely brought under control, the intensity of the fire in Antalya's Aksu has been reduced. As teams continue their relentless intervention and determined work on the ground in Adana's Kozan, the Presidency's Directorate of Communications' Disinformation Desk issued the following statement:
