Adıyaman Almond Producers Demand Pre-Harvest Pricing

With Adıyaman's almond yield expected to drop to 18,000 tons, producers are demanding that purchase prices be clarified before the harvest begins.
Almond production in Adıyaman, which reached 25,000 tons in 2025, is expected to fall to the 18,000-20,000 ton range for the 2026 harvest season. This anticipated decrease in yield is increasing concerns among producers, while sector representatives are drawing attention to potential market risks.
Fatin Rüştü Zorlu Turanlı, the Head of the Kahta Chamber of Agriculture, called on Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and relevant institutions, demanding that purchase prices be announced before the harvest begins. Turanlı emphasized that producers must make all their plans, from planting to harvest, with knowledge of the selling price.
