TÜSEDAD Requested an Update for Raw Milk Recommendation Price

All Milk, Meat and Breeding Cattle Breeders Association (TÜSEDAD) requested that the raw milk recommended sales price be updated immediately as of October 1. In the official statement, the decisions taken at the Milk Workshop organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the National Dairy Council (USK) were reminded.

It was emphasized that input costs have increased due to the tension between the United States and Iran and the disruptions in Black Sea logistics. In the statement, it was reported that the increase in concentrate feed prices by around 11 percent played a leading role in the increase in cost per liter in August.

It was argued that the price determination process should be carried out with transparent data and a vision covering the next three months. It was warned that if prices continue to be suppressed, slaughter of breeding animals and herd reductions will be inevitable.
