75% Subsidized Rapeseed Seeds Distributed to Producers in Konya

Within the scope of the Project for Effective Utilization of Agricultural Lands in Konya's Çeltik district, rapeseed seeds with a 75% subsidy were distributed to producers.

Seed delivery was made to producers in the Çeltik district within the scope of the Project for Effective Utilization of Agricultural Lands, coordinated by the General Directorate of Agricultural Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. According to data from the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the 'Rapeseed with Yellow Spring' Project was implemented with a total budget of 3.3 million Turkish Lira. 75% of the project cost, amounting to 2,475,000 Turkish Lira, was covered by a Ministry grant, while the remaining 25%, amounting to 825,000 Turkish Lira, was covered by producer contributions. With the distribution of 330 bags of certified seeds, the aim is to cultivate 5,500 decares in the district.

According to a statement from the Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 14,566 tons of rapeseed were produced in 2025 from planting on 40,307 decares in the province. With this production volume, Konya ranked 3rd in Turkey for rapeseed production. The aim is to bring fallow lands into production through new water-centric production planning and the New Support Model, to popularize the use of certified seeds, and to close the country's vegetable oil deficit.
