New appointments were made at the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and within the Ministry's central organization through Presidential appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette.
Significant changes in high-level management positions within public institutions have been made with the Presidential appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette. Within the scope of these decisions, top-level management appointments directly concerning İzmir's agricultural organization have been formalized. As a result of the arrangements made in the provincial and central organizations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the city's agricultural management structure has been reshaped. These new appointments will determine the course of agricultural projects and administrative processes carried out throughout İzmir.
According to the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette, Mustafa Şahin, the İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, has stepped down from his post. Şahin has been appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Agricultural Reform within the Ministry's central organization. Mustafa Şahin, who has spearheaded various agricultural initiatives during his tenure in İzmir, will now be involved in the management of agricultural reform and rural development policies in Ankara with the new decision.
Following Mustafa Şahin's appointment to the central organization, Kahraman Akdoğan has been appointed as the İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry. Akdoğan, who began his professional career in 1998 and holds a master's degree in fisheries engineering, has served in important positions within the Ministry, such as Head of the Budget Department. Akdoğan, who has been serving in İzmir since February 2026, will continue his role as provincial director with the latest published decision.
