Harvest Season Begins for Ladik Beans with Purchase Guarantee

Producers of Ladik beans, a registered delicacy of Samsun, have commenced their harvest season with the contract farming and purchase guarantee provided by the municipality.
The harvest period for the registered Ladik bean, among the regional agricultural assets of Samsun, has officially commenced. In the region where the cultivation area has been expanded with the support provided by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, producers have started gathering their crops by heading to the fields with the first light of dawn. While the harvested beans are left to dry, municipal teams are continuing their field inspections, which have been ongoing since the beginning of the production season, uninterruptedly during the harvest process.
Within the scope of the 'Contract Farming Model and Expansion of Ladik Bean Cultivation Project,' irrigation support is provided to farmers during the production phase, and a firm purchase guarantee is offered at harvest. The implemented contract farming model eliminates the producers' concerns about market search and price uncertainty that they might face during the harvest period. With the assurance received during the planting season, the farmer has the opportunity to safely deliver the yield of the seeds sown to the market.
