EBSO Fines Adulterating Sucuk Producer

A sucuk producer, listed on the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's imitation and adulteration list, has been fined by its affiliated chamber of industry.
Ege Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) has imposed a sanction on a food company based in Torbalı, whose heat-treated sucuk was found to contain poultry meat during inspections by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The EBSO Disciplinary Board completed its investigation into its member, determined to have engaged in adulteration.
Ege Canet Pazarlama, which produces under the Tire-Ege Göçmenoğlu brand, was fined an administrative penalty amounting to 10 times its annual membership fee. The administrative fine decision taken by the disciplinary board was unanimously approved by the EBSO Assembly.
