Nigerian Delegation Examines Turkey's TARSIM Model

A Nigerian agricultural credit and risk management delegation visited TARSIM General Directorate to examine Turkey's State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System firsthand.
A delegation from Nigeria, responsible for agricultural credit and risk management activities through NIRSAL PLC, including Executive Director Ewaen Imohe, visited TARSIM General Directorate in Istanbul on November 5. Hosted by TARSIM General Manager Bekir Engürülü, the meeting involved conveying the structure, field operations, and legislative applications of Turkey's State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System to the Nigerian delegation.
Participants' technical questions were answered during the meeting, where the details of the system, based on a public and private sector partnership, were discussed. Following the meeting, the delegations expressed their intentions to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of agricultural insurance and to carry out joint studies based on institutional experience sharing.
