Denizli Receives TL 52 Million in Grants for 92 Irrigation Projects

All 92 businesses in Denizli that applied for the Rural Development Investment Program by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will receive direct irrigation grants exceeding TL 52 million.

Major Funding for Irrigation Investments in Denizli

Grant supports to be provided to producers in Denizli within the scope of the 2026 Rural Development Investment Program, conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, have been formalized. All 92 businesses that applied under the title of Efficient Agricultural Irrigation Systems have been included in the support scope. According to ministry data, the total investment cost of the eligible projects across the city has reached TL 87,105,790, with a direct grant of TL 52,078,446 to be provided for these investments.

Fivefold Increase in Investment Budget

According to information shared by the Denizli Governorship, a significant increase has been recorded in irrigation supports offered to producers in 2026. The support for Efficient Agricultural Irrigation Systems, which remained at around TL 10 million in the previous period of 2025, has increased approximately fivefold in 2026, exceeding the TL 52 million threshold. Thanks to this budget increase, all 92 businesses that applied have had their prepared projects approved in full and have gained the opportunity to benefit from the grant program.

Governor Köşger Congratulated Producers

Stating that the province's agricultural production capacity and rural structure contribute significantly to the national economy, Denizli Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger made the following statement, emphasizing that the provided supports are a deserved gain:

'Denizli is an important production center with its hardworking producers who produce with sweat, protect their land, and add value to our country's agricultural production. I believe these resources, which support the labor and effort of our producers, will provide a significant contribution to our province. I wish the grant supports to be provided to be beneficial for our producers, and I congratulate all producers who have earned the right to receive support with their projects.'

Resources Will Be Protected with Modern Irrigation

The investments in modern irrigation systems to be implemented within the scope of the program aim to use water much more efficiently in agricultural production. The projects, which aim to alleviate the pressure of global climate change and diminishing water resources on agriculture, will provide both water and energy savings. It is foreseen that farmers who will gain access to modern infrastructure thanks to the provided financial support will increase their income levels in rural areas by producing quality products suitable for market conditions.

Critical Timeline Announced for Contract Process

The implementation timeline for investors eligible for grants has been formalized. The prepared suspension lists will be published on the announcement board and website of the Denizli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry for 5 business days starting from September 14, 2026. After the suspension period is completed, investors must apply to the Rural Development and Organization Branch Directorate within 10 days to sign their contracts. According to the Provincial Directorate's data, the final signing date has been announced as September 28, 2026; applications made after this date will not be accepted.
