KARADENİZBİRLİK aims to procure 35,000 tons of sunflower this season by providing 120 million lira in credit support to its producer partners for the 2026 planting season.
120 Million Financing for Sunflower Producers
The Black Sea Oilseed Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union, headquartered in Samsun, has provided approximately 120 million lira in in-kind and cash credit support to its producer partners within the scope of the 2026 sunflower plantings. Stating that services for producers continue despite limited resources, KARADENİZBİRLİK General Manager Ünal Erarslan said:
"For this reason, we continued our in-kind and cash support to our producer partners before the 2026 product purchases."
The institution continuously provides financial and in-kind support to producers to ensure uninterrupted production.
Climate Conditions and Procurement Targets
Evaluating the season's conditions and production efficiency, KARADENİZBİRLİK General Manager Ünal Erarslan made the following statements:
"The climate conditions this season have been much better than last year. We did not experience last year's drought. Therefore, we expect the harvest yield to be high. As KARADENİZBİRLİK, our target this season will be to procure approximately 35,000 tons of product."
Thanks to favorable weather conditions, a significant increase in sunflower yield is anticipated in the region.
