Beekeepers Receive Per-Hive Support and Grants

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and local administrations have launched new aid packages for beekeepers, offering cash payments per hive and grant support of up to 75%.

Ministry Support Per Hive

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has started accepting applications for the 2026 Beekeeping Support program as of September 7. Producers must apply by October 30, 2026, for the program conducted within the scope of the Livestock Support Implementation Communiqué. A basic support of 250 Turkish Lira per hive will be provided to union member beekeepers, and 200 Turkish Lira to non-members. While the condition is that the beehives must be identified by October 31, 2026, the public display period will be from November 30 to December 11, and objections will be handled between December 14-18. Payments to eligible beneficiaries will be disbursed in February 2027.

Fifty Percent Grant in Konya

In addition to Ministry support, local administrations are also contributing to producers through beekeeping projects. In the Selçuklu district of Konya, a grant support of 50% for beehives has been launched for farmers engaged in beekeeping or those who will start production in rural neighborhoods. Producers who have not previously benefited from this grant can participate in the program, for which applications were accepted by Selçuklu Municipality between September 7-14. It was reported that a total of 1,352 beehives have been distributed to 277 farmers to date within the scope of the project carried out by the municipality.

Empty Hive Distribution in Nevşehir

The Nevşehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry provides equipment assistance to producers within the framework of the Beekeeping Development Project. A total of 400 empty hives will be delivered to 80 active beekeepers registered in the Beekeeping Registration System, with 5 hives per person. While 75% of the hive cost will be covered by the directorate's budget, the producer will cover the remaining 25%. These local supports, for which applications closed on September 11, 2026, aim to increase honey production capacity by reducing hive costs for farmers.
