Procurement of 480 Karayaka Breeding Animals Begins in Ordu

The Ordu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has launched a tender for the procurement of 480 Karayaka breed breeding animals, consisting of 450 ewes and 30 rams, as part of the Bolaman River Basin Rehabilitation Project.

The Ordu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has launched a significant tender to strengthen the livestock infrastructure in the region. According to the specifications published by the institution, a total of 480 small ruminant animals will be procured. As part of the procurement program, 450 Karayaka breed ewes and 30 Karayaka breed rams, known for their high adaptability to regional conditions, will be acquired. World Bank TULIP Project Details

This procurement is being carried out within the framework of the Turkey Resilient Landscape Integration Project (TULIP), financed by the World Bank. This supply will be realized as a sub-component of the Bolaman River Basin Rehabilitation Project, which is part of the project with an implementation period spanning from 2021 to 2028. Tender Calendar and Application Requirements

Bidders are required to submit their proposals no later than Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Bid documents will be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Agriculture Campus address at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Caddesi, Akyazı Mahallesi, Altınordu district. The tender commission will convene and review the applications on the same day and at the same hour. Submissions made after the specified deadline will be deemed invalid, and the submitted bids must remain valid for at least 90 calendar days.

Delivery Process and Evaluation Criteria

The most economically advantageous bid will be determined solely based on price, with no additional technical scoring applied. According to the specification rules, work must commence within 3 days of contract signing. The contractor is obligated to deliver all 480 animals to the delivery points designated by the Ordu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry within 35 days from the contract date.

Contribution to Bolaman Basin Livestock

The Bolaman River Basin Rehabilitation Project aims to increase the welfare of rural producers and preserve local breeds. Through the provision of Karayaka breed breeding ewes and rams, the plan is to improve the herds in the region and increase meat and milk yields.
