DKMP Teams Treated 4,732 Wild Animals

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that 4,732 injured wild animals, whose treatment was completed in the first 7 months of 2026, were released back into their natural habitats.
Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) General Directorate teams rehabilitated 4,732 injured or weakened wild animals in the first seven months of 2026, returning them to their natural habitats. Among those whose treatment was completed was a kestrel named 'Cesur' (Brave) by children.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, in his statements regarding the work, emphasized the commitment to protecting biodiversity with the following words:
"We have reunited thousands of our injured animals, like Cesur, with nature. In just the first 7 months of 2026, 4,732 of our lives found healing in the compassionate hands of our DKMP teams and returned to their homes. We will continue to work with determination to protect our rich biodiversity, preserve the balance of nature, and carry our natural heritage to the future."
