75% Subsidy Support Provided to Producers in Şırnak

In Şırnak, 152,000 winter vegetable seedlings were distributed to farmers with a 75% subsidy, while nomadic herders also received equipment support to improve their living standards.
75% Subsidized Seedling Support
Within the scope of the Project for Enhancing the Utilization of Agricultural Lands, carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, input support was provided to farmers in Şırnak. A total of 152,784 winter vegetable seedlings were delivered to 17 producers at an official ceremony held in the garden of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. The seedlings, delivered to producers with a 75% subsidy, included varieties such as lettuce, red cabbage, broccoli, and parsley, aiming to increase the region's vegetable production capacity.
Equipment Assistance for Nomadic Herders
To support animal husbandry activities alongside plant production, the Nomadic Life and Herd Areas Improvement Project was implemented with the financing of the Şırnak Governorship Provincial Special Administration. In line with the work carried out under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 20 producers were distributed specially equipped shepherd bags. The distributed sets included essential equipment such as solar panels, sheep shearing machines, flashlights, and thermoses to facilitate life in rural areas.
Production Planning and Farmer Meetings
As part of the program, an extensive farmer meeting was held in the Kumçatı district with the participation of Dr. Osman Yıldız, Director General of Agricultural Reform, and Provincial Director Oktay Sezgin. At the meeting, detailed information was provided to producers on agricultural production planning, current supports, Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) procedures, plant and animal health measures, and agricultural insurances. The delegation also visited agricultural enterprises in the district to directly listen to the demands and needs of the producers in the field.
