Applications for the National Internship Program, aimed at university students seeking professional experience within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, will be accepted via e-Devlet until December 14.
Internship Applications Open at the Ministry
The application calendar for the 2027 internship period for university students wishing to gain professional experience within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been officially announced. According to the official notification published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on October 28, applications from associate and undergraduate candidates will be accepted until December 14, 2026. Within the framework of the National Internship Program, conducted under the auspices of the Presidency and coordinated by İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), candidates can directly complete their applications by logging into the system via the e-Devlet gateway. Students who register in the system have the opportunity to select the ministry's central and provincial units as their priority choices.
Application Requirements for Candidates
According to the rules of the National Internship Program, students born after January 1, 1992, with a general grade point average of at least 2 out of 4 are eligible to apply. While second, third, and fourth-year students in undergraduate programs have the right to apply, open education students are excluded. For first-year associate degree candidates, there is no minimum grade requirement as their grade transcripts have not yet been finalized. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry prioritizes students who are candidates for agricultural engineering, veterinary medicine, aquaculture engineering, and food engineering within this program.

Evaluation and Offer Process
In selecting applicant candidates, not only academic grade point averages but also scientific, social, and sports activities are calculated as eligibility scores. In the initial review phase, institutions make offers based on candidates' eligibility scores in the system without seeing their identity and university information. Internship offers sent by the ministry units reach the students' screens directly, and candidates can approve these offers through the system. Students who accept an offer are required to submit a current student certificate and a compulsory internship form obtained from their universities.
Internship Fee and Legal Framework
The announcement text published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry did not specify a fixed internship fee. The legal basis for payments to students is determined within the scope of Law No. 3308 on Vocational Education, at a rate of at least 30% of the net minimum wage for public institutions employing 20 or more personnel. The final payment amount, calculated in accordance with the relevant legislation, is shaped by the duration of employment. In line with İŞKUR directives, accrued wages are transferred directly to the student's bank account by the relevant ministry unit at the end of the internship.
Internship Calendar and Insurance Procedures
The internship activities of students accepted under the National Internship Program are expected to be carried out within the 2027 working calendar. While İŞKUR's guidelines recommend a minimum internship duration of 20 working days, the periods can be rearranged with the mutual agreement of the parties. Throughout the internship period, candidates' occupational accident and occupational disease insurance premiums are fully paid by their registered higher education institutions. Students are required to maintain their student rights actively throughout the process and obtain approval from their universities.
