Institutions Mobilize for Organic Farming in Gökçeada

A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Çanakkale provincial officials discussed joint efforts to strengthen organic farming and support local producers in Gökçeada.
A delegation comprising Çanakkale Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Ergün Demirhan, Head of the Good Agricultural Practices and Organic Farming Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's General Directorate of Plant Production (BÜGEM) Başak Egeser, TKDK Coordinator, and branch managers visited Gökçeada District Governor Osman Acar at his office.
During the visit, where the district's agricultural potential was discussed, Gökçeada District Governor Osman Acar drew attention to the importance of preserving and utilizing the island's natural and agricultural assets for production. Acar emphasized the necessity of inter-institutional cooperation to strengthen organic farming and support local producers.
