Police and agriculture teams in Nevşehir conducted comprehensive inspections of businesses across the province against counterfeit and adulterated food products.
Joint inspections were carried out in Nevşehir as part of the studies conducted in coordination with the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Within the scope of the 'Food Safety-1' operation held between September 1-30, 2026, food control officers from the Nevşehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and personnel from the Nevşehir Provincial Police Department took to the field. The teams conducted comprehensive checks in food businesses across the province to ensure consumers' access to safe food and to protect public health.
During the inspections, the focus was particularly on identifying counterfeit, imitation, and adulterated products that directly threaten public health. The teams, aiming to prevent non-compliant food production and sales practices, meticulously examined the compliance of products with standards. Officials stated that coordinated inspections between institutions will continue with determination to increase compliance with regulations in the food sector and to maintain consumer safety at the highest level.
