Silage Harvest Conducted on 55 Decares in Yatağan

Silage corn grown on fallow land in cooperation with Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Yatağan Municipality, and Madenler Agricultural Development Cooperative has been harvested and delivered to livestock farmers.
The cooperation protocol signed on March 4, 2026, between Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Yatağan Municipality, and Madenler Agricultural Development Cooperative has borne fruit. Within the scope of the protocol, approximately 55,000 square meters of agricultural land belonging to Yatağan Municipality was brought back into production with silage corn planting. Emphasizing their goal to provide roughage support to farmers engaged in animal production, Yatağan Mayor Mesut Günay made the following statement:

The joint project undertaken is not limited to roughage supply but also includes infrastructure investments that will increase the added value of animal production. To preserve the quality of raw milk, prevent spoilage, and avoid economic losses, producers are provided with modern milk cooling tank support along with building infrastructure. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality officials announced that they will continue to support producers at every stage of the chain, from land cultivation and roughage production to the proper storage of milk.
