Fish Stocking Initiative at Keskin Pond
An important project was undertaken in Eskişehir as part of the "Stocking of Water Resources" Project, coordinated by the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Carp fry, meticulously raised at the Gölköy Aquaculture Production Facility under the Bolu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, were released into Keskin Pond, one of the city's water sources. The event was attended by Hasan Öz, Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry in Eskişehir, along with branch managers and aquaculture engineers.
Aquatic Ecosystem and Sustainable Populations
The fish stocking activity aims to increase the aquatic product stocks in the pond, protect the fish population, and ensure the sustainability of the local aquatic balance. Provincial Directorate officials stated that similar efforts will continue with the goal of protecting the natural ecosystem and passing it on to future generations in a healthy state. Fish stocking activities, aimed at increasing the productivity of water resources throughout Eskişehir, will continue systematically in various other ponds and dams in the coming period.
