Muğla Metropolitan Municipality provided 12 rolls of greenhouse plastic to a producer whose greenhouse was damaged in a fire in Seydikemer district, ensuring the continuation of production.
Rapid Greenhouse Assistance After Fire
An urgent aid step was taken for producer Özge Durman, whose greenhouse was damaged in a fire that broke out in Muğla's Seydikemer district on Saturday, August 29. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department teams, who took action immediately after the incident, conducted on-site damage assessment in the field. As a result of the examinations, the municipality delivered 12 rolls of greenhouse plastic to the producer. Producer Özge Durman, who stated that she started production this year, expressed her feelings with the following words:
"I am a new farmer, I had started production this year, but such an unfortunate event happened to me. The fire that started on Saturday was extinguished on Sunday; we experienced very difficult moments during this process, we were very scared. Then, on Monday, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality brought me my new plastics. I thank you very much for being so quick. Hopefully, we will repair it and start production again."
Korubük Neighborhood Headman Hakkı Kılınç, who thanked for the rapid intervention, emphasized the importance of the support:
"Muğla Metropolitan Municipality helped our citizen Özge Durman, who was victimized after the fire, and brought the greenhouse plastic. We thank Muğla Metropolitan Municipality very much for their help."
