The Ecological Market, established under the coordination of TÜRKŞEKER, brought local products from women's cooperatives and public agricultural organizations to consumers in the capital as part of the 'Kastamonu Days in the Capital' event.
The 21st 'Kastamonu Days in the Capital,' organized by the Kastamonu Associations Federation, opened its doors to visitors at the Ankara Başkent Millet Bahçesi. The event was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı, and TÜRKŞEKER General Manager Dr. Muhiddin Şahin. Following the opening, the delegation toured the stands and inspected the Ecological Market area established under TÜRKŞEKER's coordination. Kastamonu Sugar Factory Manager Oktay Demirkan provided comprehensive information to Minister Yumaklı about the exhibited products and market operations. The event, which began on October 1, 2026, will continue until Sunday, October 4.

The Ecological Market, first launched in Kastamonu on April 4, 2026, under TÜRKŞEKER's coordination, brought the handmade food products of women's cooperatives to the capital. Local agricultural and food products, as well as handicrafts from producers, were directly brought to consumers in Ankara. In addition to the products manufactured by women's cooperatives, products belonging to TÜRKŞEKER and Kastamonu Sugar, produced in the region, were exhibited at the stand. According to the institution's statement, the marketplace aims to contribute to producers' direct market access by gathering the products of women's cooperatives under one roof.
The ecological market concept delivers not only local cooperative products but also products from many public institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to consumers. Reliable food products from institutions such as Atatürk Orman Çiftliği, TİGEM, TMO, ÇAYKUR, TAGEM, and TKDK are offered for sale at the center. According to TÜRKŞEKER, this cooperative and public collaboration model, implemented in Kastamonu, is planned to be expanded nationwide through Atatürk Orman Çiftliği. The stand in the capital will continue to strengthen the supply chain between producers and consumers throughout the fair.
