Foot-and-mouth disease was detected in Kütahya Merkez Kınık Village on September 2, 2026. Under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, vaccination efforts targeting susceptible animals in protection and surveillance zones have commenced to prevent the spread of the disease.
In line with the decision made by the Kütahya Governorship Commission on September 4, 2026, the Kütahya Central Livestock Market has been temporarily closed for a period of 15 days. Officials have requested that producers meticulously comply with the measures taken.
