Women Farmers Stand Out with Rose Production in Osmaniye

The Rahime Hatun Women's Agricultural Development Cooperative, which opened a stand at the Osmaniye Peanut Festival, drew attention to the diversity of the city's agricultural products with the roses they cultivated.
Women's Initiative Strengthens Agricultural Diversity
The traditional Peanut Festival held in Osmaniye brought to light not only the city's signature product, peanuts, but also the efforts of women farmers. At the stand opened under the coordination of the Osmaniye Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, the roses cultivated by the Rahime Hatun Women's Agricultural Development Cooperative, which carries out production with the support provided by the directorate, attracted significant interest. Within the scope of the event, comprehensive information was provided to producers about peanut farming, production processes, and modern agricultural techniques. The orientation of women entrepreneurs towards alternative agricultural products such as rose production directly contributes to the development of the city's agricultural product diversity and local rural development.
Protocol Members Inspected the Agriculture Stand
The institutional stands set up in the festival area were visited with interest by the city protocol and sector stakeholders. Osmaniye Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti, AK Party Osmaniye Deputy Seydi Gülsoy, Chief Public Prosecutor Tolga Han Altınay, Mayor İbrahim Çenet, and Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Erdem Kolabaş received detailed information from officials about the work carried out at the stand. At the stand, where the Deputy Provincial Director Süleyman Yıldırım and branch and district directors were present, field projects for producers were shared. Officials continuously provided technical information to producers in the region regarding peanut yield, production quality, and agricultural support mechanisms.
