The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Tax Inspection Board have launched investigations at starch-based sugar production facilities in 8 provinces, including Lüleburgaz, on suspicion of quota violations.
Teams from the Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry conducted a comprehensive inspection at a facility producing starch-based sugar (SBS) in the Lüleburgaz district. As part of the investigations coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Tax Inspection Board Presidency, simultaneous inspections were carried out in 8 different provinces across Turkey.
It was reported that the inspections were initiated based on findings that some companies may have exceeded legal quotas and domestic market sales restrictions. The technical personnel, who observed the production processes on-site at the Lüleburgaz facility, aimed to ensure compliance with regulations, prevent unfair competition that may arise in the market, and protect consumer rights.
