75% Subsidized Seeds in Mazıdağı
Comprehensive seed support for producers has been implemented in Mardin's Mazıdağı district. Within the scope of the collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, a total of 40 tons and 200 kilograms of lentil seeds were delivered to 167 farmers with a 75% subsidy. This move, carried out under the umbrella of the Project for Enhancing the Utilization of Agricultural Lands (TAKEK), aims to increase the yield of agricultural production in the region and to strengthen producers economically by alleviating their high input costs.

Planting Target on 3 Thousand Decares
The Mardin lentil seeds, delivered to farmers under the coordination of the Mazıdağı District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, are expected to be planted on approximately 3,100 decares of agricultural land across the district. While the project plans to bring fallow lands into cultivation, officials stated that input support for local producers will continue uninterrupted to enhance the agricultural potential in the fertile lands of Mesopotamia. The distributed certified seeds are anticipated to directly contribute positively to the harvest yield and product quality.
